The New Canadian Family Network is everyone who has been involved in the New Canadian Program, between 1992 and 2008. There are over 1500 members in the Family.

New Canadian Friends, adopted by the Family, are persons who welcome and support newcomers to Waterloo Region.

Our Objectives:
• Support, engagement and networks for New Canadians to feel at home and welcome to our Region
• Connect for social and emotional support
• Provide networks to the labour market and busineses who need experienced manpower
• Participate in providing input for advocacy for systemic changes
• Encourage person to be engaged in volunteer work
• Encourage youth to play an active role in building bridges between their old and new communitiesbr
• Enrich Waterloo Region with experiences of the diversity of cultures and values and implement the true meaning of acceptance and social mixture

Our Mission Statement
The New Canadian Family Network recognizes that newcomers to our country, to our province and especially to our region, bring skills and expertise that make significant and valuable contributions to businesses, industries and organizations. We are dedicated to supporting these individuals as they pursue their career goals, resulting in both personal and community enrichment
